Ex- NFL Star Antonio Brown Files Not Guilty Response in Murder Attempt Trial

One-time NFL player Antonio Brown is returning to Miami to confront an murder attempt charge related to a gunfire that happened in May, as his attorney entering a not guilty response on his behalf.

Detention records in Essex County, New Jersey, reveal that Brown was released on Tuesday early for his transfer to the state of Florida. Brown, one of the most popular athletes in the NFL, had waived transfer to Florida from New Jersey, in which he was held after being apprehended in the city of Dubai.

Brown’s lawyer, Mark Eiglarsh, said in an message that he has previously lodged a written innocent response to the murder attempt allegation. Brown could be in a Miami court as early as Wednesday early for a release proceeding, Eiglarsh stated.

Based on his arrest document, Brown is accused of taking a handgun from a protection employee after a celebrity match bout in May and discharging two shots at a man he had fought with before. The reported victim, Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, stated to investigators that one shot touched his throat.

Eiglarsh stated that Brown was simply defending himself from Nantambu.

“The steps he was obliged to take were solely in defense against the reported victim’s violent actions. Brown was targeted that time and responded within his legal privilege to defend himself,” Eiglarsh commented.

Brown was not promptly detained because originally authorities did not recognize Nantambu as a affected party. It not until later in May that Nantambu provided a full statement about the situation to officers and identified Brown as the gunman, the report states.

Brown has dealt with numerous judicial problems over the period. He before had been alleged of battery of a vehicle operator, multiple domestic violence accusations, failure to pay child support and further events.

During a recent game with Tampa Bay against the opponents, Brown stripped off his jersey, shoulder pads and handwear and ran off the stadium, resulting in his dismissal by the franchise and virtually ending his professional career.

Brown, who completed 12 years in the NFL, was an elite wide receiver who passed the majority of his career with his team. Throughout his professional life, Brown had over 900 catches for over 12,291 distance, the 28th highest of record. He was a seven-time Pro Bowl choice.
